We like silver because it shines brighter than gold. But that's beside the point.
The shows listed here are broadcast of interviews of which some go back as far as our very first show on June 10, 2005.  We sure do sound slightly different these days.

Some of our guest are listed here because they have contributed in some way to the ongoing work of Take12Radio.com and KHLT Recovery Broadcasting. Others are here because someone really thought they were the cat's meow and pulled somebody's arm .

But seriously, what is on this page has played an important part in the development and continued maturing of this station and we will be forever grateful.
Blackout 101
We don't need no stinkn' drugs!
Blackout was started in the suburbs of Los Angeles, CA in the Spring of 2005. It was all set in motion a year before, when Chris saw the movie "School of Rock". This movie inspired him to pick up the guitar and form a band. At their second show there was a power outage and the name "Blackout" was born. Since then many things have happened in the band; Chris decided to broaden his horizons and continue playing all of his music with talented musicians and friends; Skyler Leon and George Brooks. The Band now rocks harder than ever, ready to embrace the future of Rock and Roll. They are veterans of numerous venues in Southern California including the House of Blues, the Knitting Factory, The Troubador, the Key Club, the Majestic Ventura Theater and the Whisky A Go-Go. They have also impressed audiences of all ages on tours to San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Portland, New York City, Vancouver Canada and even 16 shows and many radio interviews in England. They are now selling their EP "A Work In Progress" at shows and online. It demonstrates their uncanny ability to write technical and intelligent songs that speak to both the young and the young at heart. Blackout 101 is not a boy band of trained dancers who sing words put in their mouths by others. They are the real deal. Prolific writers, the boys are constantly expanding their repertoire as the legitimate voice of this generation.

Blake Bolerjack / Recording Artist / Depression Almost Killed Him  Listen
Blake's full-time concert ministry started right after Blake had just finished college. The Lord had been tugging on his heart for a long time to start this ministry and although it has always been Blake's dream and goal to sing Christian music, he did not expect to start so soon. Blake says, "I was doing the very best I could to wait on the Lord so I would not jump into something too quickly. But this time I watched as each door I thought the Lord was opening ended up closing, leaving only one door for me: I walked through and went straight into full-time music ministry."
...the Lord "worked on me hardcore and where my life was changed forever-where I finally started to understand God's love for me and experience victory over the most powerful stronghold on my life: depression."

Jim Butt / Cross Festival Chairman / 12 Stepper Recovery Story  Listen
"We hope to present a side of true Christianity that most people have never seen before and to reach out to the people that most people don't reach out to," Butt said. "Religion blocks the door in many cases to people experiencing what really is the kingdom of heaven on earth and that is Jesus Christ. ... The best of Christianity will be on display at this festival, and it's not going to be about religion."

Davis Meece / Christian Music Hall of Fame / Surviving an Alcoholic Father  Listen
David Meece, front-runner in Contemporary Christian Music is celebrating 33 years since his first recording DAVID was released in 1976, initiating the career and journey he has taken as a Christian recording artist over the last three decades.
As his music caught on, David began to play to sold-out concerts all over the world while composing songs that have become Christian household standards.  From
"We Are the Reason” recorded by well over 200 artists in several languages and nominated for the Dove Award Song of the Year, to the  beloved “One Small Child” written when he was 14 years old, becoming a beloved Christmas classic, David has been a Christian music vanguard.
Life has not always been easy for the gifted artist.  David grew up in a house dominated by an abusive, alcoholic father.  Though his childhood was desolate, his earliest happy memories revolve around the piano. “I can remember wanting so badly to press the piano keys down and I couldn’t get up on the bench. David reflected.  “Somebody had to come and help me.  But I remember once I was up there, I was happy.”

Dick B.’s body of work on the history and successes of early Alcoholics Anonymous includes seminars, books, articles, radio interviews, videos, audio cassettes tapes, audio blog talks, and newspaper articles. He has had 33 titles published about the history and successes of early A.A.:

Peter Tork
Long before "Peter Tork" became a legendary part of the prefab phenomenon known as the "The Monkees," he was a well-respected musician/artist in the burgeoning New York folk and blues scene. Peter's gift for playing a plethora of instruments (bass, guitar, keyboard, banjo and french horn) generated high demand for his services as a sideman/back-up artist. Peter knocked around for several hungry years in the mid-60's, hanging and performing with the likes of John Phillips, Steven Stills, Dave Van Ronk, Van Dyke Parks and Arthur Lee. The list goes on.
The fateful call, which would change Peter's life forever, came in June of 1965.  Friend and confidante, Steven Stills, not quite hitting the mark with his own audition, rung his buddy, urging him to give it a go.

Falling Up
Live in the studio.
Lead Singer / Keyboardest  Jessy Ribordy & Drummer Josh Shroy
talk with the Monty'man about their new music and way it's ok to rock with out drugs and alcohol.
One of the most sought after Christian rock bands in the world.
alling Up have grown accustomed to lofty expectations. After all, their debut LP Crashings exploded on impact, landing numerous chart-topping Rock and CHR singles (including R&R Rock song of the year) and selling over 100,000 copies. The bar was immediately set at a height few could aspire to, and fewer still could eclipse. Yet, they followed with 2005's Dawn Escapes, a record that not only achieved similar accolades but demonstrated that the band had grown exponentially, and that frontman Jessy Ribordy was a multi-faceted songwriter, lyricist and frontman--a true champion of his craft. The sophomore release was greeted with rave reviews, established the band as a career outfit, and propelled their already-high standard into the stratosphere. Yet, on the eve of their thrid LP, Captiva, Ribordy has set his crosshairs on a new vision, one no less lofty, yet even more vital than anything he has accomplished previously:

Hilary lost her voice to polyps on her vocal chords while touring with a band singing 6 days and nights a week. She was told by the doctor that she may never sing again. She went to speech therapy and finally 2 and 1/2 years after losing her voice…it returned. She then studied voice with Nicholaus Laurienti, Director of The Denver Opera Company, and applied the breathing technique of Opera to her Pop style. After her voice returned Hilary began performing again and co-wrote her first original album, “Happy So Bad” with Dave Wilson (winner of BMI songwriting competition and VH1 songwriter competition
